EDUCATION and TRAINING ACTIVITIES
 

One of the main aims of the organization is empowerment of the unemployed and inadequately employed by enabling beneficiary groups to acquire new skills and information through various trainings and educational activities leading to more sustainable employment.
 

Lastavica continuously organizes training sessions with the aim to assist the beneficiaries in acquiring new skills that are in demand in any job seeking opportunities at present. These training sessions are:

Lastavica periodically organizes trainings on various textile techniques, targeting primarily women to whom weaving, macramé, batique, patchwork could provide additional source of income. These series of trainings are closely linked to the work of the Textile Workshop of Lastavica and women who successfully complete the training often become members of the Textile Workshop and join the other women in selling their products.

All courses related to techniques in working with textiles are primarily intended for the unemployed women who might be interested in acquiring new skills that might provide a new source of income. Majority of these women, for various reasons, do not have permanent employment, so this enabes them to acquire new skills which would make it possible to work from home and have additional source of income seems a good solution.
